GeekCast
Introduction
GeekCast is a video portal project written in PHP/Grails. It comes with a small API, making it possible to include videos from a GeekCast powered website into your own website. GeekCast was written to serve video.geekmonkey.org (english) and video.software1987.de (german). On both websites I am publishing screencasts about a wide variety of software development topics.

Requirements
- PHP5.3 with PDO
- PostgreSQL 8.x or Mysql database
- ffmpeg installed (if you wish to convert your videos online)
Not really software specific, but you should consider having a lot of diskspace and traffic once your service is running.
